Besides balanced meals, we also eat foods in between the meals, for example at tea-time. These foods are referred to as snacks. They also need to be low in fats, sugar, and salt to keep the body in good health. Moreover, if we want to keep our planet healthy, it is best to prepare our own snacks using locally grown or produced foods. In so doing, we can save on the cost and pollution associated with the transportation and storage of snacks.
