Time to Move: 30 Seconds Passing Game

Materials Needed: ball (can use paper/rag ball), stopwatch (can use mobile phone stopwatch)
  1. You need two more persons (parent, brother, sister, friend) to play this game.
    • One person will act as the time keeper.
    • The second person will pair up with you in the game.
  2. Face the person you have paired up with, standing about 3 metres away.
  3. When the timekeeper says ‘Start’, pass the ball to the other person and count the number of passes over a period of 30 seconds.
    • If the ball falls down, pick it up and continue with the passes.
  4. Once 30 seconds are over, the time keeper says ‘Stop’ and you stop passing the ball.
  5. Repeat the activity at least 5 times and note down the number of passes each time in the Table below.

This game can be played indoor also. You can vary the distance.

Such types of physical activities improve your child’s coordination and concentration abilities.

It is also important to ensure that your child consumes enough water when performing physical activities.
