I label the diagram with the names of the Three Food Groups:
Food for Energy
Food for Health
Food for Growth

NOTE to Parents

Use the Three Food Groups to plan balanced meals for your child by always choosing at least one healthy food from each food group. An example of a balanced lunch is:
Bread/Rice
Chicken/Soya Chunks
‘Daube’
Lettuce and Carrot salad
